Spatial Joint

Hi 

I have routes between different cities in the World. I want to figure out how many countries the route is passing. 

So I have applied the Spatial Joint tool in ArcGIS Pro. In Target Features I have Routes, In Joint Feature I have countries boundaries. and in Match Option I have Intersect. 

the issue I am getting is that as if the route is going from Zagreb to Sofia, only cross the SERBIA, but with Spatial Joint I am getting the names of three countries, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Serbia. 

How I can correct this issue, please.
