Set Raster Properties buggy for PNG Files?

I'm trying to batch update the No Data value on a pile of rasters using the Set Raster Properties tool. I fell into the weeds when I tried to perform the workflow and discovered a potential bug in how the tool handles PNG files specifically. JPG's and TIFF's seem fine.

When updating the NoData value using the set raster properties tool - the "No data value" in the raster properties pane is still null. When you open the raster in Pro, and click on a pixel, the pop-up will read "NoData", even for pixels that do indeed contain colour or values. The statistics for some of these rasters get ruined and I can't rebuild them.

When I manually try to update the No Data in the raster property pane through the catalogue, it will accept the value of zero. But when I leave the pane and open it back up again the value is gone. Or sometimes it'll still be there but if you close and reopen for the third time it'll disappear.

I tried the workflow on different, less complex rasters - like a picture of my sons face. Same problems, but updating a JPG or a TIFF is fine.

Just wanted to flag this and confirm whether it is indeed a bug and hopefully the dev team can update so others don't get lost in the weeds trying to understand that it's not them going crazy haha
