Hello,

I have a shapefile of counties in the USA. A total of more than 3000 counties. Also, I've raster of population.

Now I want to select one county and clip the raster using the selected county and its contiguous counties (adjacent touching).  Meaning I want to select one county, which in turn should select all its boundary touching, and then using this selection, I want to clip the raster and name the output clipped raster as same as the selected county.

I tried selecting by location and then choosing the relation as "boundary touches."

But I don't know how to use this in the model builder. Anyone, please help.

Save the result of the selection to a layer/featureclass as the output of the tool.  Use that as the input featureclass to use in the raster clipping.

Do the process manually once to get the idea, then implement it as a model if you intend to do it many times, otherwise, skip the model

Thank you, Dan.

I tried it, and it was satisfactory.

But is there any way to save the result as a temporary layer in the model builder operation? Because there are more than 3000 counties.
