Using Pro 3.5.1.
I've had a few more crashes than usual in Pro 3.5.1; mostly due to the copy bug.
A most unwelcome issue has also raised its head in that Pro does not mention a backup is available when you re-open the project you were working on before it crashed.
Project Recovery is configured and seemingly works - there will be a .backups folder with projects you are working on in it which get updated as you do you in Pro.
It will just not mention its existence while loading the project on restart?
In earlier Pro versions it worked as described in the brochure.
During a crash I have now started to quickly go to the .backups folder and copying the backup to a safe space then manually opening it once I restart Pro. If you wait too long after opening the original project, Pro will obviously overwrite anything in the .backup folder with other backups.
Anyone else seen this?
At first I thought my crashes must've been well timed with my own saves so a backup didn't meet the required criteria (changes since last save). After looking into it I found .backups content newer that the post-crash original .aprx
I've lodged case with the local distro so we'll see what comes of it.
