Path Planner Returns Empty Result in Model Builder

Hey all,

As the title says, when I run Path Planner through Model Builder it returns a completely empty result. If I run Path Planner from the Geoprocessing Menu It returns the expected result with no issues. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what could cause this? No modifiers are involved just the routing input and 2 files containing the network points and target locations. This is in ArcPro 3.2.1 if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance.

Hello @FlightDeck

I've run a very simple ModelBuilder of Path Planner and it successfully runs. The ModelBuilder creates the output but doesn't add it to the map. The result will be located at specified Output Workspace location.

Could you share an image of you Model Builder? or elaborate on your workflow?

Additionally, could you verify the version of the Path Planning tool your using by looking at the properties of the Path Planning map.

Hey Gelisa,

There's really not much of a work flow yet as that is what I am working to build. When I encountered issues I decided to create a model with just NPP and see if that would run in just its simplest form. With the exact same data it will not run in Model Builder, but will run if initiated from the geoprocessing tab.

I am not able to find a location with the tag as you have shown above. The tag field in the properties of the map and the result are both blank. If you can point me to where I would get the information I would be happy to validate I am on the right version.

The image of my current model builder and result is attached.

One thing I do see missing is the travel mode of you network dataset in that ModelBuilder model. Make sure that is set in your model and let me know if you still having issues. Additionally, make sure you have the Network and Target Locations brought in as a Feature Class and then pulled into the network Path Planner.

The tag is in the Path Planning map that ships with the Network Path Planner Pro Project so if you are using the tools outside of it but I can see you have the Cutoff parameter which was new with version 2.1 so we are all good there.

I guess I am a little confused. In the screenshot the travel mode is set to driving distance, is there somewhere else I should be setting this? I assume the network and target locations I have set are in fact Feature Classes as I was able to choose them from the drop down menu. Is there a way to confirm this? Sorry if I sound uneducated on the topic but I am somewhat new to ESRI software.
