Hi,

I am currently trying to update my Oracel Database Connection files (.sde files). We have a new port and a TCPS protocol instead of TCP protocol in use.

My problem now is that simply changing the port in my .sde files does not solve my problem; by chaning only the port I am not able to connect to the database anymore. Everything else stayed the same, only port and protocol changed. Does anybody now what might be the problem here or does anybody have any expirience in this instance?

Hello @WiebkeNietert , are you still able to connect to your database from the ArcGIS Pro PC using any other tools, eg SQL Developer or SQL Plus etc ?

If you see any error messages etc when you try to connect from ArcGIS Pro, please paste a screenshot of them into this post.

Hi @ChrisUnderwood ,

yes I am still able to connect via SQL developer and also via the old port which is currently still usable. But it will be blocked at some point so I have to find a solution.

When I try to connect to the database with the new port I get the following error:

Are you using EZConnect or TNSNAMES in your connection properties?

Can you provide a screenshot of the connection properties?
