Multiple XY providers

Hello,

I'm new to ArcGIS Pro. After importing some layouts and maps from mxds, I noticed I have multiple XY providers showing under locators. Is that normal? when I hover over them or click them they dont seem to do anything. Also whenever I switch between different maps in the project more get added and I dont understand why or what they are for.

I was curious about this as well.  I don't see any responses here.  Did you find a solution or answer elsewhere?

Me too - any idea what is going on?

I am not really sure and obviously no response here...more of an annoyance than anything.
