We are using some of the new multipatch editing capabilities in ArcGIS Pro 1.4 to import 3ds models into an existing multipatch dataset. The majority of models we import are not georeferenced unfortunately.

We need to be able to do two things:

1. Change the height of a multipatch model by specifying the height (z-value) of a known point, such as the roof.

2. Position the multipatch model when provided with a known point (x,y,z) of a particular building feature. For example, shifting the building corner to a supplied x,y,z value (as found in architectural plans).

Is anyone aware of a 'move to x,y,z' tool available for moving a multipatch model to a particular point?

Thanks

There are two tools that may provide the functionality you need, Transform and Move To.

From the Edit tab, choose Modify

In the Modify pane, you can choose Transform or Move To from the Alignment group.

With Transform, you will digitize links from start location to target location for a selected multipatch feature(s).

With Move To, you can specify target X,Y, Z location for a selected multipatch feature(s).  However, you will need Pro 1.4.1 if you need to specify Z's due a known issue at Pro 1.4.

Please let me know if these support your workflow.
