I'm getting back into GIS, after college. So far not so good...
I downloaded a Roads feature class online, used Select By Attribute, and created a Selection querying the road name. The source feature class was poorly organized, so I had to create three separate layers from queries, e.g., CR 322, Co Rd 322, and the third was blank and manually selected each segment.
I thought I should be able to Merge those layers into one combined Line Feature; however, after the Merge tool runs successfully, the resulting layer is invisible. I am able to Flash and Zoom To layer, but it remains invisible.
On few occasions, the layer displayed correctly, but disappeared again after clicking to a different layer.
Also, I tried closing and reopening the program ArcGIS Pro, and all the attributes disappeared from the layer's table. This happens both as a Layer and as a Feature.
Lastly, some very odd things happen I can't explain, the original three queries start to change themselves, some attributes disappear and others get added... so rather than a short road I selected, I have scattered segments of random roads from the source layer from all over the State.
Is this a Geodatabase issue?
Thank you.

I believe it was due to my source feature class being stored in a File Geodatabase I created, but all the tools were running in the Project Geodatabase. Resolved.
