LAS Dataset Build Pyramids not saving

Hello,

I have a dense LiDAR point cloud that I have created multiple LAS datasets to build pyramids on.  I have the temp/scratch folder redirected to a location with enough disc space.  The pyramids build fine and I can work with the resulting LAS data, but when I save and close ArcPro the pyramids seem to go away as when I reopen the project pyramids have to be rebuilt.  Am i missing a step to save the pyramids within the LAS Data set?

pyramids are directed to a folder where the las dataset is located

assuming this is the tool you are using to build the pyramids
