Hi. So I am encountering an issue when exporting my map (see attachment) to a png. file in ArcGIS Pro. In essence, for some reason, the line features in the bottom half of the map are not rendered, even when they appear perfectly fine on the map and in the layout view. I tried a few different solutions:

  • restarting the program
  • changing the export file type to jpg.
  • changing the export file type to tiff.
  • changing the export file type to pdf.

Of the above solutions, only changing the file type to pdf. worked--albeit at the cost of losing the original font and the north arrow (because those don't appear properly in pdf. for some reason).

This is an issue that I have encountered before. Previously on another map, the colors of polygons were improperly rendered when exporting, leaving some polygons to have their fill color "switched" right in the middle. I have yet to find a satisfactory explanation or solution online. Please help!

Thank you!

What settings are you selecting when exporting a .jpg?

Compression should be close to High Quality

Resolution should be set to 300 (recommendation not an absolute)

Color depth set to 24 bit true color

When you export as a PDF make sure you have selected Embed Fonts
