In a project I am working on, there are some old IFC files from a project that is over 10 years old, and we do not have access to the original files where they were created. We imported the IFC files into Revit because we needed to create some information parameters that the client requested.
When we try to import directly from Revit to ArcGIS, all the elements appear without any issues. But, when we try to export from Revit to IFC and then from IFC to ArcGIS, many elements disappear. We try to understand this because, in any IFC viewer, the representation of these elements is the same as in Revit, and we would like to use the IFC to resume most of the information parameters that are not necessary to the client. Any idea why on ArcGIS most of the elements are missing?
