I am pretty inexperienced with ArcGIS Pro, I use it to make simple reference maps of maintenance areas (subdivisions/neighborhoods within our city). for our field staff so they can see the relevant inventory within said area.
I want to apply a grey color over top of our entire inventory (over the whole city), and when I select one of our maintenance areas (subdivision) I'd like it so the grey color disappears within this area and it would show the map in true color.
This would show the field workers the bounded area for any give map because the area they are working in would be 'true color' and outside the bounding area would still have that grey color. Its like the map series would be punching a hole in the grey.
Is this possible with map series?

You can do this with the Page Query on the Layer Properties.

The polygon layer you are using will need the same attribute as the map series query.
