Hi there,

I am trying to calculate the land surface temperature in Omaha, Nebraska. I have obtained data from the USGS Earth Explorer that was acquired in July 2022 with the hopes of getting a range of summer temperatures that are typical to the area. However, when completing the calculations, I get temperatures that would align closer to the winter months (5 degrees celsius to negative five degrees celsius). The tutorial I have been following is based out of Eastern Africa, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXBat9MNh9E). While I pull a lot of my own numbers from the text file included with the data, some of the numbers are provided by the video creator through their equations. Does anyone know if these numbers would change depending on where you're at in the world? Or have any idea why I would continue to get strange temperatures for the time and region upon completing the calculations? Thanks!

Hey Sarah, I got the exact same problem, here they say if you use the extract by mask tool in a study area you create the problem will be solved https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzavTBq-1wM&ab_channel=VikasGhadamode, but it didn`t work for me... I`ll probably initiate another question...
