Hello,

Is there a tool in ArcGIS Pro that will extend two line segments to where they intersect?

e.g. Can I extend the two selected line segments to be like the drawn in red line?

I guess it could be done by calculating the equations of both lines then solving to see if they are perpendicular and where the would cross, create a point at that intersection and points to line.

Hi Joel,

The Line Intersection tool is coming in 2.5 which will be released soon:

Thanks,

Hi @Scott_Harris

is it possible to do the same using arcpy, if I select two-line segments using python and then extend them using python

@qnadeem possibly, I'd first try using the Snap geoprocessing tool within a python script. You can also look at the answers provided in https://community.esri.com/t5/python-questions/extend-line-to-specific-distance-or-a-line/td-p/22753...
