I would like to calculate the Euclidean Distance between two points using ArcGIS Pro Desktop. My data set contains X, Y Coordinates for "ID" as well as X, Y Coordinates for "BUILDING". I successfully ran the XY to Line tool which created a table with a "Shape_Length" field. However, I am not sure what unit of measurement that is or how to translate it into miles.

ID         ID_X      ID_Y       BUILDING      BUILDING_X      BUILDING_Y

1                                              A

2                                              A

3                                              B

Well you need to know what coordinate system you are dealing with. Presumably (may be not always the case), the XYs and the length are in those units.

When I Geocode my "ID" address table and "BUILDING" address table I use my organization's Input Locator. When I run the XY to Line tool I use line type "Geodesic" and Spatial Reference "GCS_WGS_1984". Does this answer your question? Thanks!

My organization's Input Locator uses "GCS WGS 1984" as its Geographic coordinate system.
