I installed the new 3.3 update and have been encountering glitches when trying to use the Esri World Geocoder address locator. Yes, I know it burns credits, but it only burns approximately 1 unit for me every week so my employer is fine with it.
Nothing is plotting on the map. I am getting an error message showing I have unmatched addresses (26 in the attached screenshot), but it won't allow me to rematch the data or the 'pick from map' option. I confirmed that I am signed in to Arc GIS online. I am using a CSV file. Ihave a column in Excel for City and State. I have never had this problem before. Can anyone help me?
Could it be possible that the addresses are not formatted well? Do you have an example of an address?
Sometimes when I get no matches, changing the address format to include all the way to the zip level (e.g. 303 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308), and putting it all in one field, gives me the best luck.
In the documentation, it says it expects a "Table View" data type for the input table. So maybe try a table within a gdb?
You mentioned just a City and State field.. I always thought you needed at least the street to get a point geocoded.
If I am using the city address locator my department created, sometimes I need to add the zip code to the Excel address cell in order to get a match. When I use the World geocoder locator, I previously only had to include the address, city, and state and everything always matched 100%. After the 3.6 update, none of the addresses map. All of them display as unmatched. My program also crashes multiple times a day after the update. I was hoping it was just a glitch with the update that would be patched soon.
