Hello!
I have geocoded about 60k addresses and wanted to use the Enrich Data option to add Median Household Income and Disposable Income as attributes to the point locations.
Since it appears the Enrich Data tool match the point with the underlying Census Block Group, I selected a buffer distance of only 100 ft from my point location as I wanted to ensure it grabbed the most accurate information from the Block Group and didn't aggregate it with other block groups.
However, the tool enriched only about 1,000 records out of 60k. It also included many records where the 'Disposable Income' was greater than the 'Median Household Income' for the same location. I tried running it again with a sample dataset of 500 records using a 0.25 mile radius and still only about half of my records populated with values.
The geocoded addresses that I am using are all true point locations (I have already removed locations that the geocoder could not find) and they should have underlying census blocks. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a minimum distance for the buffer that should be applied in order to generate results for all locations? Also, any thoughts why disposable income would be greater than median household income? Here are some examples for the latter below:
