Element visibility in graphics group layer - how to turn invisible elements back on?

I have labels in a graphics group layer in a layout. If I activate the layout and click an individual label, the Element pane opens and I can toggle the visibility of that particular label on and off. This is handy if I wanted to hide a particular label without deleting it altogether. Great! However... how the heck do I find it if I want to turn it back on? Because they're in a graphics group layer they don't show up as individual elements in the contents, so when I turn them off, they're gone. Where do they go and how do I get them back?
Thanks!

Select the graphics layer in the Contents pane and open the Symbology pane. In the Symbology pane, check the Draw non-visible graphic elements check box and set a unique color to easily identify them. Select the graphics you with to turn back on and check the Visible check box from the Element pane.
