I've been looking for a way to create dynamic numbered labels in ArcGIS Pro.
I have a series of points, which right now have static numbered labels that were manually entered to order the points in ascending order from North to South. We manually type a key that uses these numbers to identify each point.
We frequently zoom this map in and out depending on the region we're studying, which means that we need to renumber all of the points, and edit the key manually every time. There has to be a better way than this--but I didn't see anything that really applied when I searched for scripting options.
What we need is similar to the "Key Ordering" label fitting strategy available in ArcGIS Pro. The problem is that the key numbering can't be "forced", there is less control over the display properties of the label, and there is little control over where the key list appears. Any ideas?
