Hi,

I am dimensioning in ArcGIS Pro 2.8 in feet in planar mode, but I want to show the dimension the value in geodesic mode. I have tried changing the number the attribute table by changing USE CUSTOM LENGTH field to 1 and changing the value of the dimension in CUSTOM LENGTH field. In the screenshot below, the dimension is 36 feet measured in the planar mode, but I want the dimension to say 26 feet in the geodesic mode. When I changed it in the CUSTOM LENGTH field, the dimension shows it is 85 feet. Do you know what is going on here?

The Web Mercator Coordinate system is WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere).

totally not the projection to use for anything entailing measurements (Google it or look on the forum)

I don't think arc* anything corrects for measurements on this projection

Measuring distances and areas when your map uses the Mercator projection (esri.com)
