Currently one of my users presses the Split tool and it crashes instantly. We opened the same file in another empty project it worked fine. This happens on ArcGIS 3.3.2 and 3.4.  Any ideas on how to fix it? I assume something is corrupted but not sure what.

If the split process works on the same file on another computer that rules out the data being the issue, so it may be the installation which may necessitate

We sort of did a fresh install with downgrading from 3.4 to 3.3.2. So not sure if its a Installation issue unless we need to do something more.

Like I said it worked fine on a new project with a blank map.

if it worked fine in a new project with a blank map on the same computer, then there may be something corrupt in the project, so you could start by cleaning out history and caches, otherwise, keep on with the new project or try packaging the project and reuse it.  The packaging can do an effective job of tracing issues with the project and/or data

Well we found a "Fix". Changed the Coordinate system and it seemed to work. I tried to recreate it with the coordinate systems he used and didn't work. So strange.

@LonerockAdmin I'm glad you have a fix. If you still can access it, it would be great to get the reproducible data/project to Esri Technical Support to log a bug to prevent other users from experiencing a crash.

Been trying to recreate it on on my own computer and haven't had much luck. If I can find a way to do so. I will post it.
