In ArcGIS Pro 3.1 I am copying features from one polygon shapefile to another with identical attributes. After unsuccessfully trying to copy and paste (like I did in ArcMap), I found the Copy Features Geoprocessing tool which works great--except that when I want to copy an additional feature, it overwrites what I had copied previously. There must be a better way to do this....all help most appreciated!

You can Append https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/append.htm the selected feature to an existing FC/shapefile, but the guide below details the editing functionality I think you're looking for. I think you'll likely it better than ArcMap.

You can also paste special, which will let you copy into another feature class, even of a different geometry (at least polygon to line)
Thank you David & Alfred. I thought I looked at paste special but messed that up somehow. Guided by the tutorial, works like a charm!

Copy/Paste features between feature layers still works like in ArcMap. I think you have to copy by R-clicking the selected feature on the map (not copy button from table), then Paste Special - Paste into Layer, and you'll have the option to keep source attribute values
