Copy and paste of layers or layout elements causes freeze since update to 3.5

I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.5.1.

If I copy and paste a layer from within the same map, or a layout element from within the same layout, there is now a freeze or large delay that did not happen before version 3.5.

It also happens between different maps, and different projects.

This is annoying as I prefer to copy and paste layers rather than add from .gdb so I can reserve the symbology etc.

Does anyone know why this might be happening since the update?

YES!!!!
You are not alone!

I've a case lodged with our local distributor.

In my case it seems related to how long Pro is open for. It works fine for a while but once the first copy-hiccup occurs I just save > close Pro > open new instance.
It varies from a small hiccup, to a freeze, to a big freeze with all Pro panes/windows going black, to a complete doo-doo + fan and I have to close it via task manager.

Any copy operation can cause it - copy some text, copy an object in map or layout, copy a map, etc using either CRTL-C or Right-Click>Copy
Map complexity, data location or size, layout complexity, symbology complexity, etc has no impact as far as I can tell.

I think so  - in my opinion they are so hard at work launching new & shiny things that they seemingly don't have the time to properly check stuff or do proper testing prior to shoving it onto us.
This is what happens when you 'have to' have two new-feature rich releases per year.

THANK YOU! I'm glad I wasn't imaging things.

Does anyone have nay work arounds until they fix this issue?
