When clicking and editing a layer in the contents pane, it keeps losing focus and jumps somewhere else entirely after any layer change and i need to scroll back to the layer and highlight again. Frustrating when the contents pane has so many layers loaded. Its wasting time and focus. How can i keep the layer active until am done with it. I recently upgraded to 3.7.1 but it is still doing it. It was not like that with 3.6

Hello @PhilipViljoen  , can you add some details of the particular steps you follow when you see this problem, perhaps adding some screenshots etc too ? Then we can try to reproduce the same thing ourselves.

@PhilipViljoen @ChrisUnderwood

I had the same thing happen, I'm in 3.7.

Workflow for me

  1. Working in a map layout
  2. Need to change label properties for a layer; for example: change font type or size
  3. Select layer in map, change label properties
  4. The layer I made the change on that was selected becomes unselected and the label pane becomes inactive.
  5. I have to go to the contents pane and reselect the layer to make another single change in the label pane.
Cheers,
Jon

@JonM32 @PhilipViljoen  , no I don't see a problem like that. I can make a change to the Font Name, then straight away make another change to the Size, without the need to reselect anything.

Perhaps a screenshot from your ArcGIS Pro would make it clearer to me ?

Can do. I'll be working in my project where it's been happening today and can take a video when it acts up. Currently, it's not doing it but was fairly frequent earlier this week.

Cheers,
Jon
