We have ArcGIS Pro 2.9 deployed in an Azure Virtual Desktop host pool. We also have a 13TB file share hosted in Azure. The file share can is accessed from the virtual desktops through a mapped drive. This setup works great with ArcMap 10.8. ...it seems to be more error prone in ArcGIS Pro. Has anyone else had this experience?

When our gis analysts create a folder connection in ArcGIS Pro to an Azure file share via a mapped drive, they cannot create new content. They can easily open and consume content of all sorts. However, when they try to create any new items, including something as simple as a new folder, they get a "Cannot access <drivepath>" error. As such, our GIS Analysts cannot save any new content to the file share from ArcGIS Pro, which largely discourages the use of ArcGIS Pro at all.

It's not a permission issue because these same users can create new content in the file share through ArcMap without issue. It's also not a network issue because ArcGIS Pro does recognize that the share exists - it allows you to add a folder connection and reads from it without issue.

Anyone have any idea what the issue could be?
