Hi all,
I'm trying to publish a geoprocessing tool to ArcGIS Server from ArcGIS Pro, but am unable to since the server connection type is set to "User" in the latter and cannot be changed to "Publisher" or "Admin". When establishing the connection, I'm using the same admin credentials for when I publish from ArcMap, access the Server Admin page, etc., but for some reason Pro sets the connection properties at the lowest level and then grays-out the drop down user type menu--it's totally inert. Heck, the connection in catalog is even auto-named "admin on $SERVERNAME".
I've also confirmed that I can see the published services on the server, but they cannot be modified via Pro. Application is version 2.6.1. Issue was present before recent upgrade.
Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong? Thank you!
Thanks @MetralAlexis. Yes, just find out that the server I was using was version 10.4. I tried with a server 10.6 and it worked fine. Now we just need to update our old server. Same as @BenClark said.
Thanks!
I use Gis server 10.9.1 and Pro 2.9.1 and I can't change the user type either, is there a solution?
Same here, Arcgis Pro 3.0 and ArcGIS Server 10.9 and I can't change the user connection type.
I was able to get connected as an administrator. I had to go to Connections<Server<Add Server and go to an existing connection file I created in ArcMap. Why Pro Why?????????
We also have this issue as well, and also found success with dragging in an exisiting connection file from ArcCatalog's storage of connection files. Stand Alone Server, ArcGIS 10.7.1 and ArcGIS Pro 3.0
However, this isn't the case for all of our servers. We are adding new servers this month, and our new staging server is able to connect in ArcGIS Pro, switch to an admin connection type, and publish a geoprocessing service, however our current production server only works that way if we drag over the ArcCatalog connection file, which defaults to Admin connection type in ArcGIS Pro. The current and new servers are configured with the same permissions so this is a big mystery to us; they mirror each other. We plan on testing again when we swap our current production server to a new server.
It makes no sense! Wondering if the server hardware has something to do with it now.
Has anyone solved this problem? I use Arcgis Pro 3.4 and Map service version 11.1.
