Currentently one of my users above has Add Attachments Greyed out on his Machine but on my computer I could add it just fine on my account and his. Another user sharing the same account could do the same. Any ideas why one user would have greyed out but not the others? (The attachments in the file had to be added by another user.)
Solved! Go to Solution.
After trial and error, I updated to 3.3, and it worked fine. I'm not sure what the difference between 3.2 and 3.3 is with Attachments, but it's not allowed. (When it worked fine a couple of weeks ago).
Hi @LonerockAdmin,
Do they have the following enabled for Pro:
If they do, they will need to start editing before Adding Attachments is available.
I just saw this one. I even had this turned off, and it worked fine to add attachments. So not sure if that is it.
Enable Attachments (Data Management)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation
there are some notes in the above... for example
If the input dataset is from an enterprise geodatabase, it must be from a database connection established as the data owner.
The thing is it is enabled for attachments. I have also checked two other accounts, and it works fine for a user who doesn't own the data. Also, the same account on a different computer, and it still works. It is only this computer having trouble.
not sure what would be different on that computer if the user can perform the operation on another one
I agree. I'm wondering why it's happening. Makes zero sense.
@LonerockAdmin you verified the user is in an edit session?
Correct. I also turned the Editing Session off and on, and still no way to press add for attachments.
Hey @LonerockAdmin
Has this user been able to do this in the past?
His permissions may need to be reviewed on the members page of AGOL or Portal to see if he may have lost his permissions. If you are using AGOL and Portal, both permissions will need to mirror each other. To test this, I would elevate their permissions to publisher and try an advanced ArcGIS Pro license, if it allows him then, it may be a permission issue.
