Hi GeoNet family,
I am not so advanced in Python but I can comprehend tasks. Having said that, I have a point feature layer of about 200'000. In this layer, the points are uniquely identifiable by an Event field which contains families of different points. Of the +200K points, each has a unique #CatalogNumber. Now, my task is to figure out how to write a script that enables me to run through the set of points in my feature layer and gets the distance between each of them. If the distance is beyond a certain threshold, I should break and have the set of points assigned to the next break of lines but in this case, I should remember that that if this is a line which is from the same family, I should maintain the relationship.
Any idea?
If I do not sound clear, I am very much willing to elaborate on the above issue. See the Attachment!
Thanks, Moses
