Using Attribute-Driven Symbology for the first time and experiencing some issues with the content pane and layout legend.

The layers are being represented in the both the pane and legend by a singular shape, despite being symbolised on the map by a range of different colours. The colours are defined by RGB codes held in a field of the Attribute table.

How do we get the different colours displayed within both the contents pane and legend like we would with Unique Values or Graduated Colour symbology?

The function does not work! Don't waste time! The bug was discovered in 2017 and has not been fixed to this day! ESRI is not responding to numerous user requests to correct this. I think that actually ESRI does not know how to make this functional but has been misleading users with false functionality for years.
