ArcPro Export Map Series Crashing Pro

We're currently having an issue with Pro where when we export a PDF from a map series (either a single page or multiple) and then try and do anything else in the project once they are exported then the project crashes (gets stuck on loading/greyed out options for infinite time). We've also noticed that when reloading a project some layers are always automatically readded to a legend despite being previously turned off/removed. 

We've tried to update our Pro, we had a notification for one last Tuesday (24/03/26) but since then we are met which a "Internet connection is currently unavailable" message

I'm not aware of any known case concerning the issue concerning the crash.  I have not run across anything like what you describe in my own testing with map series.  We would need to see the crash dump and the steps needed to reproduce the issue.  

The problem you are running into may be specific to your data/workflow. Can you contact Esri Support? They are better equipped to handle troubleshooting steps and gather bug data. They can be contacted at https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support.

Concerning the reappearing legend item I think you are running into a known issue - BUG-000181233. This fix should be available with 3.6.1. Hopefully, whatever internet issue you are currently running into is resolved and you can install the service patch. This should solve the legend issue.
