ArcGIS Pro - Table Copy and Pasting values into Calculate field (bug?)

When I click on an attribute value in one table (ctrl c), then paste it (ctrl v) in the Calculate Field tool area for another calculation, it always add an extra line or extra space in the box. The cursor gets placed on the second line.  This is very annoying having to hit backspace all the time when calculating string values.

try the following... with your mouse, highlight what you want to copy from the right towards the left... then ctrl-C ... go to where you want to paste, then ctrl-v .. If memory serves, double-clicking or anything else other than a swipe seems copy more than is needed, even if it isn't there
