Start by checking the "show update log on exit." box in the corner, and then Exit. A log should pop up on screen, and look toward the bottom for an error message.
Usually this kind of problem can be traced back to some other program running and locking resources, so close all programs you can and then redo the update.

Check your Anti-Virus and make sure it is not blocking install process. If you have Admin rights try disabling A/V and running ArcGIS Pro update.
