ArcGIS Pro Functionality Matrix

Does ArcGIS PRO have a functionality matrix pdf doc similar to desktop or server? Is that planned? Has esri published it before?

Would be helpful to understand the differences between different licensing levels..Any information on this would be helpful.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but, Tools that are not available in ArcGIS Pro—Appendices | ArcGIS Desktop  lists what Pro doesn't do, that Arc Does. From there one could infer some sort of functionality....

I think that the link that you allude to here needs to mention that Attributes Rules (AR), Pro's version of Attribute Assistant, has not been ported over to Pro to match the capability of Attribute Assistant in ArcMap (Right now AR is in an infant stage compared to AA).

Esri has a high-level/simplified one for Pro that may address some questions:  ArcGIS Desktop license levels—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop

The last ArcMap functionality matrix was October 2015 to my knowledge with no planned updates for that product.  The closest thing for ArcGIS Pro is what's mentioned above in previous responses as well as the "What's New at 2.x" webpages for each release of AGP.
