ArcGIS Pro 3.0 won't open projects with joined excel files

I upgraded to arcgis pro and had a few issues with opening excel files initially. Someone said to make sure I installed the .NET Desktop runtime - did that. someone said to upgrade the access driver. I did that. Still I have a project that has an excel file joined in the map and it won't ever finish loading the project. When I look at the task manager, the "ExcelToSQLite64.exe" seems to be where the hang up is.

Any other weird packages I need to install to get this software to work?

Thanks George!  I'll keep trying.  My IT department doesn't allow anyone to have admin rights, so every attempt to fix requires an additional20 minutes, which makes this extra aggravating. I just want to run my analysis. 🙂

I recommend:

* Open the project backup version and remove the excel file from the Map
* Upload the excel file to a new map. Open the geoprocessing tool, then convert the excel to a table.
* Lastly, add the table to the map.

If you have ArcMap installed on the same machine, will need to install both the 32 and 64 bit versions of the .NET Desktop runtime and the Access driver.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Nothing is working yet. I haven't even seen ArcMap in 6 years, so not worried about that. There is no backup. I'm gonna try and create a new project and hopefully load all the data I need from the side.
