I have created an Annotation feature class and it is the first layer in the Contents pane but still the point symbols are covering up the annotation. How can I make the annotation to show on top of the points ? I tried this in Pro 2.0 & 2.1.2.

Thank you!

Hi Sona,

Are your points in 3D and your anno in 2D?  can you send a screenshot of the contents pane?

thanks

Wendy,

Its all 2d. The points on the map is a polygon feature class symbolized using graduated point symbology.

Hi Sona,

The markers produced with this renderer draw in the annotation phase resulting in the annotation being drawn underneath them.  We have an enhancement request logged to provide control over the drawing order so that annotation is not overlapped.

ENH-000113670

A workaround might be to use labels in this situation as they will draw last and not be overlapped.

thanks

Thank you Wendy! I couldn't use labels as i had to delete some and move them around. So I converted the Polygon FC to point and then used the graduated symbol method and then it worked fine.

Do you know when we can expect this enhancement to be made ?

Hi Sona,

I'm sorry, but I don't have a time frame for this enhancement.
