Hello,

A while ago, I had a student/individual subscription and so I already have an account. I'm trying to get back into using ArcGIS Pro and so I purchased GIS Tutotial for ArcGIS Pro 2.8. The book comes with a 180-day trial, which I'm trying to activate, but the process is trying to get me to create a new account.

Is it possible to use a trial with an already existing account?

Thank you for your help.

Eric

Did your individual account get the status of a public account (usually happens after 30 days of expiry of your subscription)?

According to Activating Subscription - ArcGIS Online ,

"If you already have a public account, sign in with your existing account. If your existing public account owns content, sign up for a separate, new account instead. (You can transfer ownership of your items to the organization by inviting your public account to join later.)".

Perhaps your academic account prevents it.  Are you still a student and still associated with that organization?

You might want to cut the ties and set up your own personal account, either now or at some point in the future.
