When merging selected features using the merge tool, show the feature being preserved with a different color outline.

When merging selected features using the merge tool while editing, it would be very helpful if the feature with data being preserved was automatically distinguishable from the other selected features by use of a different color outline for the preserved feature. Currently it is only distinguishable by the selected Display field or by clicking on the feature listed as (preserve) shown in "Features to merge" in the tool window (which flashes the feature momentarily).

Great Idea,

I second this idea, it would also allow instant feedback on selection technique, with how you select to have the feature you want preserved being the one with the different color.
