When using the data engineering statistics window on a dataset with a definition query, it calculates statistics only on the data that is available, not on the whole dataset. It would be nice to have a warning banner at the top of the data engineering stats window explaining that the statistics may be incorrect for the whole dataset because a definition query is currently applied to the layer. There are indicators a definition query is applied in GP tools, but not in the data engineer stats window.
