ArcGIS Pro 2.9.12:

In a geoprocessing tool, it would be great if we could use Catalog Pane to easily enter the Input parameter (instead of fiddling with the Browse dialog).

I'm aware that I can right-click an item in the Catalog Pane to Copy Path: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-questions/use-catalog-pane-to-enter-input-parameter-in-gp/m... . And then paste the path into the parameter. That works, but I'm wondering if there is a more efficient method, such as drag and drop from the Catalog pane.

When I remember correctly, drag and drop is supported

Yeah, I use drag and drop all the time

This idea can be closed.

I see now that I can:

  1. Drag an item from the Catalog Pane down to the Geoprocessing tab
  2. ...which will bring up the Geoprocessing Pane
  3. Then, drop the item into a geoprocessing parameter
