The tooltip for the Clear Highlighted button on the attribute table in Pro is confusing. It is too similar to the tooltip for the Unselect Highlighted tool and suggests that the user might lose the current selection if they click the button. Instead of "Deselect all the currently highlighted rows," I suggest something like, "Remove highlighting from currently highlighted rows."

Here are screenshots of the two tooltips for reference:

Hello @HollyTorpey_LSA  yes, the "Clear Highlighted" Tooltip is incorrect. The correct behaviour is described in the ArcGIS Pro Help and matches well with your suggestion.

https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/tables/highlight-records-within-a-selection-set.h...

"Highlight is removed from all currently highlighted records, but the records remain selected."

This is now logged as BUG-000176142.

Hello @HollyTorpey_LSA , just to let you know that this Tooltip problem has been fixed and will correctly describe the tool in ArcGIS Pro 3.6 onwards.

ChrisUnderwood

In ArcGIS Pro 3.6 the Tooltip is now clearer that the Highlighting, not the Selection, will be removed.
