I posted a question on geonet
here about if it was safe to delete a map package from the default install location. I had asked this question as there is nothing in the help files that say what you should do or not do.
My idea is simply to update the help with maybe a sentence all two (so not a big task) to explicity state that it is safe to delete map packages from the default install location.
Over the years I have clearly unpacked many map packages and was surprised that there were so many, for work long finished. I was unsure if I deleted them that it would upset ArcMap in someway, went looking for help and found none, it was all about extracting map packages not post project data management.
