Yes, I shamelessly stole the title from Disable or move the "templates not listed" notice, or somehow stop the templates from jumping around...because it's the same kind of issue, just in the attributes pane instead of the create features template.
When I select one feature in the map, the attributes pane displays the attributes for that feature, along with two tabs, one for the attributes of the feature and one for the geometry of the feature.
When I select two features in the map and focus the layer in the attribute pane, the attribute pane displays the attributes for that feature/those features, but the tabs go away because the geometry tab can't display geometry for multiple features the same way it can show attributes for multiple features.
When I change my selection from one feature to two features, all of my attributes "jump up" a row because the attributes/geometry tabs disappeared and the attributes moved up to fill that space. When I change my selection from two features to one feature, all of my attributes "jump down" a row because the attributes move down to make room for the tabs.
I am constantly clicking in the wrong row in my attributes pane because of this. I included my own somewhat contrived GIF, but the one from the "templates not listed" post is perfect and that's my issue, just in the attribute pane.
Changing the focus for multiple selections in the attribute pane was a HUGE usability improvement for me, but it may actually have made this particular problem worse because I can go straight to the attributes for multiple selections instead of having to slow down and click/focus the layer name first.
I would be happy if there was just some kind of reserved space for the two tabs so that the attributes didn't move up and down whether you selected one or multiple features, or if the geometry tab disappeared for multiple selections but the attributes tab remained to maintain spacing.
For bonus points though, Combine the Edit Vertices tool and the Attribute Pane's Geometry tab could also plausibly solve my issue. If the geometry-viewing function of the attributes pane was shifted over to the modify features pane (which could perhaps show the geometry greyed-out if the data wasn't editable?), the attributes pane would be for attributes only no matter how many features were selected, and that would eliminate the need for the two tabs in the first place. I'm not sure if that would solve everyone else's problems, though.
