Pause a Definition Query

It would be handy to be able to temporarily pause a definition query, rather than having to save the query, remove it, then load it again after working with the un-DefQ'ed data.

ArcGIS Pro supports that already. All you need to do is click on the check box to de-activate your def query.

Ah, that's handy.  Searched help and community for that functionality but could not find any documentation.
