ArcGIS Pro 3.2:
In the Catalog Pane, I can use the hamburger menu to Switch to View:
The Catalog View opens in a tab beside the attribute table tab. I would have expected it to open in a tab beside the map tab. That section normally has a larger working area and is more suitable for navigating view content like the Catalog View.
Could that behaviour be changed?
Thanks for the Idea @Bud,
The catalog view will open in whichever view has focus. If you want it to open nested with your map view, ensure you have that view selected. This allows users the flexibility to open the new view wherever is most convenient for them based on their current work.
@SSWoodward Okay, I get what you are saying, I really do. And I actually wouldn't have such an issue with this, except the controls for moving window tabs are so darn finicky, that if I do open a window in the wrong view, moving it and placing it where I want it to be requires a level of precision most Naval pilots don't have. I know it's been asked for before, because I'm pretty sure I gave kudos to it, so can we get the tabbed window UI/UX improved so that if we can't pick what view we want a new window to open in, can we at least make moving it less frustrating?
