It would be beneficial to incorporate OCR technology into ArcScan so that we can work more efficient when using this extension.

It looks like there is a third party solution that does this called IcoMap. I'm not sure about its current availability.

ArcGIS Desktop retired March 1, 2026 so we won’t be considering this idea. We recommend that you migrate to ArcGIS Pro, our fully supported desktop GIS application.
