Make Table View (non-spatial query) — Exclude SHAPE column

It's my understanding that the Make Table View tool can take either a feature class or a table, and output a dynamic, temporary, non-spatial table view in the Contents pane.

That works as expected. However, it seems strange that the SHAPE field from the input FC gets included in the output table view.

I don't see any benefit to including the SHAPE column in the table view/attribute table. I think all that would do is cause confusion for users, since the table view is non-spatial.

Could that behaviour be changed so that the SHAPE column is automatically excluded from the Field Info parameter in the Make Table View geoprocessing tool? I'm aware that can be done manually by unchecking the SHAPE column in the list. But I doubt users will remember to do that; I think it should be done automatically.
