I suggest using line breaks for cell entries (such as in spreadsheet programs, Excel etc). At least if tables with longer cell entries are placed in the layout, this would benefit the appearance. The automatic adjustment of the font size is not a satisfactory solution for me.

Thank you for submitting this idea @ChristianVogt-Heinze  Could you please review https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/be-able-to-see-an-entire-cell-in-pro-attribute-tables... and let me know if that is what you're looking for?

Thank you!

Hi,

no, that's not what I mean. It's not about multi-lined attributes, but about longer attribute content. Imagine placing a table on a printable layout. The table columns should only have a certain width and the text size should not automatically adapt to the column width. An (automatic) line break would be helpful here.

I too would like to have a line break inside a table

The equivalent of alt+enter in excel

My workaround: open notepad, type the data with carriage return, paste into table
