Limit the clip area in Extract Data Task

The "Extract Data Task" model makes it easy to set up a "Clip and Ship" geoprocessing service.  An option that would be nice to have in the model is a way to limit the area that can be clipped.  For example, if the selected area is larger than 10,000 acres, a message would be displayed directing the user to select a smaller area. 

A variation might be to have the scale of the display determine if the clip task will run.  For example, the map has to be 1:10,000 or closer for the clip task to run.
