We appreciate the functionality and versatility of ArcGIS Pro in academic environments. However, we've encountered a challenge while deploying concurrent licenses in shared computer labs, such as those in universities.

Currently, we need to configure the license server address for each user upon login. This process creates a significant bottleneck in environments with multiple users, as it is impractical to reconfigure the license settings every time a new user logs in.

Proposed Solution:
We kindly request the addition of a feature that allows administrators to set and persist the license server address at the system level (e.g., environment variable or Registry value. etc.). Once set, this configuration should be applied automatically to all users on the machine, without requiring individual reconfiguration.

Benefits of this Feature:

  1. Efficiency: Saves time and effort, especially in computer labs with high user turnover.
  2. Ease of Management: Simplifies the setup process for IT administrators managing multiple machines.
  3. Improved User Experience: Allows students and users to start working without delays caused by license configuration.

We believe this enhancement will significantly improve the usability of ArcGIS Pro in academic and shared computing environments.

Thank you for considering this suggestion, and we look forward to seeing how ArcGIS Pro continues to evolve to meet the needs of its users.

@LicManager , Esri Support provides a KB for setting and locking a Concurrent Use license manager for ArcGIS Pro at the machine level:  https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-lock-licensing-options-in-arcgis-pro-000026114.  Additionally, the Install ArcGIS Pro silently documentation page has command line arguments for setting default license manager when installing Pro:  https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/arcgis-pro-installation-administration.htm
